I was tempted to suggest that the current generation of climbers is interested in nothing but convenience. That they see climbing outdoors as being much like gym climbing but with the possibility of being rained on. The only 'adventure' they're likely to experience is almost stepping on someone else's turd when they go for a dump a metre or less off the track in Centennial Glen.
