Ok kids, because I screwed my back (refer previous posts) I'm limited to doing boring things not climbing, cycling etc. So, perhaps some light and I mean LIGHT walking this summer. What's the lowest weight you can get the pack down to for multi-day hiking, assuming carrying less than 2 days food and have regular access to water and shelter? Tips? My thinking:
- day pack
- cut down foam mat
- emergency plastic body bag/orange bag (cf tent or bivy)
- no spare clothes
- sleeping bag
- no cooker
- go hiking somewhere there are huts in case the weather sets in (and sleep outside the huts)
- lightweight rainjacket (though fully seam sealed)
- no overpants
