Taking a look at some of The Greens policies that they have released online and are accessible on their wesite there is some cloak and dagger afoot and an agenda that should come under more stringent analysis.

For example they support Death Duties and wish to introduce those.

These can be crippling in a basic example if you parents/relatives left you a $1M house you would pay 40% on top of the first $250K, therefore $300K Tax which may result in you having to sell etc....In the end it's forseeable that most inheritance will escape such duties but I'm personally against that policy.

They also vetoed the ALP's ETS that Turnbull hade agreed to. Granted it didn't go far enough and it was Swiss Cheese like in some aspects but it would have got the ball rolling at least. It concerned me they ere not prepared to negotiate and if they hold the balance of power we could be at a stndstill on some issues.

I was partly happy to see the Democrats gone but I do wish they were back perhaps under the title of the Australian Green Democratic Party (melding the best parts of the Greens with a legitimate 3rd Force in Parliament), you could at least negotiate with the Dems.

I think it's a given most here love and cherish our natural world and wish to see some change and genuine action but the dystopian and controlling policies of the Greens concern me. However, I guess they all have some thing to hide.

In all I am a circumspect observer of politics and at present very disillusioned with what we accept on a political level in our nation. If this last month on the Hustings hasn't made you frustrated I'd be surprised...........

It's sad to realise this; Latham may have a point but making a mockery of the Democratic process could set us on an uncertain path......
