Here's one of the many banners hanging around in Railay, Thailand for the "2010 Krabi Rock and Fire Contest." Another banner said "Are you sweaty" Not sure of the results or if any Aussies competed as I had to leave the day before the comp.

I feel I'm both a sweaty and boring climber! My idea of fun at present is to head to Werribee gorge and run the access trail with a 15kg pack in preparation for a physical test. I was sweating like a slave this morning, the weather forecast said 21 though my poor sweaty, overheating body felt it was a fair bit warmer than that!

At least we don't have Thailand's humidity...

Yep the humidity is a bit harsh. I actually spent most of my climbing time over there DWSing. One trip out on a boat for a day and the rest we'd just grab snorkel gear, put on the climbing shoes and swim around the rock faces climbing where we could. Kept us much cooler that way and great fun. Good luck with your physical test!

When I lived in Japan I used to ride my bike everywhere. It was so hot and humid during Summer I'd place a rolled up beach towel around my neck and down my chest to soak up the sweat.... I'd usually replace the towels twice a day....

DWS sounds like a much better way to stay cool!!!
