Good question! I'd like to know this too. Obviously Telstra has good coverage but they're expensive. 3mobile is only good in the capitals. When I got mine they said they roamed on the Telstra network but I've noticed the coverage getting worse over time. I now live in newcastle and there is no 3G reception whatsoever, so I get charged extra.
