Gfdonc! Nooo! May i suggest a safer alternative.For you and others readingg this thread. Don't lie on your back, rather kneel on hands and knees. Now extend that arm and raise the weight without extending past level with your spine. I say this, because lying flat means your upper limb and spine are already level with each other. By now 'hyer extending' your arm, you are hyper extending your back while also applying a twisting motion. Very bad, and could cause disk problems or herniation... Using the kneeling method still works the same muscles and if your draw your tummy up aswell it will help your core; transverse abdominals
