Shedidit is a little grade 15 square-cut corner-crack. The edge of its L wall is the right arete of Bung Wall. Henry Barber put up SA's hardest route (a 20) on Bung Wall in '75, but it only held the honour for a few minutes as he then freed Barad Dur at 22.
You can jamb Shedidit, crimp the aretes, or layback the crack (virtually from off the ground if you like). Most people employ a variety of tactics. The crux asks you to do a couple of layback moves at or above your gear so it's an excellent route for leaders consolidating at the grade. |
