I remember Simey had a tech tip in rock about pulling the first crux move off the ground and then getting your belayer to pass up the rack. or something like that. I tried it on that bolted slab at araps with droppy bolts (too lazy to look it up and name escapes me, left of surface to air) - after I placed the right sized cam in the horizontal I proceeded to drop the rack on to the head of my belayer. My current partner always seems to need a bushman's before his leads maybe he's trying to offload some weight.
