Surf and Climb It all comes down to money. Currently there is unlimited rehabilitation money but it is only for things like fixing houses and fire breaks. This runs out at the end of june. past that no one is really saying. To fix the cathedrals first the insurance claim has to be lodged in order to pay for the repairs then damage and safety assessment. With dangerous trees the weather has a huge impact, wind and rain etc. After all that then it will be time to an open of the park. So there is no way of saying how long.
As far as helping I can make enquirers down at parks about volunteers out but there are OHS issues such as do volunteers need red cards?
What could be really good is some help through safer cliffs victoria.
The other issue is that different crags burnt different amounts. Bissets Pinnacle may not be climable for several years, Ten fathom ridge was unburnt so a partial opening is the most likely
