you'd proabably find that the lease or tenancy agreement would require you to have some form of public liability and property insurance.

also, (sorry to be the party pooper) but if you had a "woody" in your backyard, and allowed a third party to climb upon it, technically you may well be required to inform your home & contents insurance company about this as there is usually a P.L component built into the product, and you not informing them of this risk may be considered Non-Disclosure and the contract being made null & void or the insurer subrogating against you (insurer sueing you to recover monies).. (would depend upon the insurer, their policy wording, scope of cover and proposal form wording)
