A contentious issue this one. I think there are definite do's and don'ts around kneebars and claiming the tick. Here are the rules: 1. Toproping = No Kneebars 2. Redpointing = Kneebars only okay if placing the gear/draws on lead 3. Onsight = Only then are Kneepads acceptable Similar rules apply to padded pants (purchased or natural) for sit down rests.
