I FINALLY went climbing again today after being laid up with some vicious sick-fest for the last god knows how long, and was horrified to slowly come to the conclusion that not only were my (outwardly disgusted, but secretly coveted) calluses on my fingers slowly diminishing, but so to was my performance on the rocks (err, plastic holds... sorry), normally being able to breeze up my normal "warm up" 13, i struggled and was not able to make a dint in a favorite 16 which i normally don't have too much trouble with with it still being a challenge.

just wondering if anyone else has experienced such a rapid loss of power in a short time?... fair enough i did miss 4 or 5 sessions.. but sheesh! am i going to have to climb 3 - 4 times a week every week to stay where i am? i dont want to be scared of missing a day!
