Hi cookie!
I know, sexy shoes are hard to pass up! If you're thinking of improving technique... well, my personal opinion is that you should continue climbing and watch heaps of people climb, observe, absorb and mimic. Though I'm a tight arse... and would prefer to keep the money for climbing trips or entry to climb somewhere.

You said youre just new to it, and you're allready hitting the 17 mark! That's impressive!

What you've mentioned is what I've been trying to do... keeping those arms straight and then trying my best to use my legs. I'm slowly improving

If you are interested in climbing technique... I looked into this as well.. an alternative to group classes is individual technique classes. I looked in to the Cliffhanger technique classes. They're much cheaper (I think). And they're run individually. The two people that run the classes are Louise and Phil - who I've heard are great!
