But BM is a Pom (correct me if I'm wrong) so didn't grow up with the same exposure to Australia's social history that (most of) the rest of us did. talking to a range of other people beforehand strikes me as a pretty damn respectful way to approach things, rather than risk coming across as an ignorant immigrant.
