This may be the better option for busy sites or peak seasons, but has the disadvantage of removing spur of the moment trips, and increased admin costs. I can't imagine PV "developing" proper campsites and running a booking system for Arapiles. Such systems often develop a culture of stealth camping, resulting in further deradation in remote areas and the issue of toileting etc. Fixed sites also discriminate against small (paying for 6 etc) and large groups (having to spread over several sites. These sort of things shouldn't be attempted without serious consultation with the major users of the area.
