Well if your so keen on 'no-trace' style camping at the flipping PINES then you better tear down the toilet block as well. And get rid of the phone box, and everything else that wasnt put up by climbers. The fact is that Parks has decided this is a popular enough campsite. The toilet block is there. The garbage is collected. Its in the budget. This isnt a wilderness experience. Araps is a state park known mainly for climbing. The Gramps is a national park famous for climbing AND bushwalking. Your comparison is totally flawed. If it were up to me, Id throw out parks vic and let the climbers manage it. But if there is going to be a parks presence, which at this point is pretty much unavoidable, then certainly a HUGE (and possibly only) benefit are the bins.
