No, there's no contradiction in his argument if you take the view that the only people who should be climbing are burly hard men with no fear, and whose rack consists of six mashies, a skyhook and some sticky tape. People who would, quite literally, rather die than place a bolt.

People like him, in other words.

Just joking - Macciza, I don't know you from a bar of soap, but your post was pretty funny. I have to laugh at someone who thinks that when someone climbs without shitting themselves it's an ethical concern. WTF?
