I hated cracks with a passion last year. A few years back you would have me laughing at the thought of trad climbing even. Friends would tell me there is a great jam to have a rest (philby) I would refuse to use it because jamming wasn't in my vocabulary (pretty sure theres a better word, but you get the picture) of moves.

That was earlier, but now!
It's a bit of a sick and twisted game. I like being in those awkward positions so the start of this year had me playing on some cracking routes at araps.

But that wasn't even the beginning, Frog Buttress came along and showed me what cracks were all about. Cracks definately scare the poo out of me. I've fallen out of the "easiest" of cracks at Frog. Cruized up "harder" cracks and cried in the smokestack.

Would I go back? Heck yes!
Do I love cracks, oh yeah...

Other than suggesting to you to go to Frog to be taught the lessons of crack climbing. I have no other help other then, get stuck into it :-) Find a crack any crack and get in it!
