Climbed there in the early 90's whilst on a 3 mnth climbing trip to spain. The place is gobsmacking!! Can't see much would have changed there facility wise as the place hadn't changed in the 600 odd yrs that the catholic church (benadict I think) have had a monestry there. There was a backpacker type hostel but you need to bring your food up with you. I say up because the monestry and climbing are situated high on top of one of the most amazing rock formations I've ever seen. The total area is Massive, the established climbing probably only covers 0.1% of the total area. Bolts area spaced on the multi pitch but single pitch sport route are the nrmal European standard.
As for the horror stories Slabovic will fill those parts in, another friend, who you would know did naughty things to a religious artifact on top of one of the "beehives" and was nearly struck by lightning!! If you haven't seen pictures the place looks like a huge pile of classic style beehives piled on top of each other. Finally there are heaps of good limestone area in the area aswell and the Spanish make a very refreshing change compared to the french.
