>>I find the black scuff marks left on the rock by that soft conveniently sticky rubber unsightly
cant say i've seen this anywhere, perhaps im not looking close enough or i'm blind to your sarcasm.
>The problem isnt with 'the masses' the problem is with you.
>'The masses' use chalk - you dont.
>Majority rules in a democratic society.
I'd prefer to be an individual anyway and a minority, not a clone, i dont do something because someone told me to, question everything, and dont believe everything you see on tv. now i'm generalising, but its still relevant i think.
>Can the mods/admins lock this thread, it's all been said before.
like James said, you dont have to read it if you dont want, questions were asked and we're answering them based upon our opinions because it's a touchy issue for us.
>I have no issue with people using chalk, it's the excess use of it that I have an issue >with,
The excess comes around on popular cliffs because everyone uses their little bit and it builds up to become the excess, and therefore some people may think, that seeing although its already there, their little bit is of no consequence.
>Because I think people definitely do get on climbs that push them to the limit, where >chalk can make a huge difference
thats me, and if chalk is the difference between a move or the whole climb, i'll either jug past the section and get on with the rest of the climb, or give the climb away. there are plenty of climbs around i can be doing without wasting my time on this one. |
