I am aware that the minority of us who don't use chalk are fighting a losing battle and i don't realistically expect that many people will change. But it annoys me that people use the excuse that they sweat. most climbers sweat, it's not the end of the world.

I'm not saying anything else except that it's ugly, it ruins rock texture over time, it rarely washes away & it's avoidable. Maybe one day one of the "big pictures" will include every cliff in the world spotted with chalk.

If you ONLY climb to push grades, gain ticks & not appreciate the environment you're climbing in, then maybe you should stay in the gym.
