yeah i think im one of them - & sabu's sister definitely is. we're both just 2 of many people i know who have decided not to use chalk outdoors. i'm not saying people don't sweat, im just saying there are other ways of getting rid of it while climbing or before a climb.

"i sweat" is just a cop-out cos people can't be f*%*ed trying. chalk is just too convenient.

excuse me while i reminisce for a sec about being on lead up a slippery crack at the Gramps. I was getting to desparation point cos my hands were wet with sweat slipping out of the jam and i couldn't hold on enough to place some pro. I was so sure i was going to fall & i was hurling abuse at our leader saying things like "Just cos u don't sweat doesn't mean i can lead a slippery crack without chalk" and "damn it i could do this if i had my chalk bag, u nazi"

Anyway i got up it - combatting the sweat with a quick wipe of the t-shirt & i suppose mentally moving on.

I don't think we need to get into medical conditions - the problem is with the masses and with people like One day hero who couldn't care less as long as they're comfy.
