I started up Morfydd last weekend. Got about 4m up, dogged a No 1 nut and decided I was in over my head already. Downclimbed and valantly lead the plucky little 11 chimney to it's left, then boldly walked to the Morfydd top out, bravely clipped the ring bolts and with tremendous courage proceeded to top rope the route. With the rope heroically above me I fearlessly completed my ascent, sans falls, and found the moves delightful with several pumpy cruxes, but solid jams and a bomber rest stance after each allowing you to effectively treat each section individually. Next time I might consider an audacious and daring lead as far as the 5m mark!
