Relax - no one wants grid bolting – and the climbing population will never be large, most people prefer shopping. I have seen several trad-only people “get it” in regard to accepting the concept of multiple bolts where necessary and working on hard sequences. It’s like a light going on, the sudden realisation that it’s not the work of the devil, despite what they may have heard. Their climbing ability often goes up 2 or 3 grades across all styles, leading to a richer experience from climbing – more climbs within your grasp. Would you like to onsight a big line at Araps that is currently beyond your reach?
