As I understand it, if you do this you should put two draws on each piece. ie, you should either use twin rope system, or double, but not mix them. This is because when double roping the ropes will stretch different amounts when you fall, and it is possible to have them rubbing together under tension if they're together in a single biner further down somewhere.
