I can do nothing but agree with Al here. While I have rarely posted, I've been following discussions on here for a number of years. I always enjoyed the friendly debates and discussion that covered what I consider to be important topics in modern climbing, but after the name calling and crass personal insults of late I find myself almost embarassed to be a part of the climbing community.

As a teenage climber, I was always in awe of some of the better known climbing personalities and grateful for the work they have put into developing climbing. I'm now a little disappointed by how some of these people (who are still role-models for maturing young climbers) are acting in such a public forum as this. While I'm all for an honest discussion (and I'd like to think that I'm always ready to respect other opinions) about the issues at hand, how about everyone grows the hell up and start acting like the adults we (mostly) all are.
