$1700 AUD. Apart from the expected distortion and light fall off in the corners at the 24 end, it's a beauty. Very convenient for a "one lens solution" for hiking and travelling. Nice for portraits, and landscapes. Sharp and clear. Not long enough for candid "subject unaware of photograhper" portraits, nor close enough macros, but 24 is wide enough for me, and the 105 end gives a great background blur at F4.

Not fast enough for flash-less indoor action without pumping up the ISO to the max, but plenty fast for what I do. The IS makes a huge difference. Hand held to 1/2 a second if you've got a steady hand. Maybe 1 in 3 shots at that shutter speed might be slightly blurred. Speeds faster will all be nailed (unless the subject moves of course).
