theres really no need to have a problem or take exception with anything Martinn wrote, for sure he ment no malice, harm, ill will to other in his words.

and by carrying on like this on a public forum it does become public business by defult.

if you dont want others to comment on your posts then dont post anything but it is phils business (and right to comment..as we ALL do) as much as anyones when you carry on.

for example you could have written the following:"I don't know whether Ian Leeson died in a fall from a climb while soloing or from a fall on descent.", and left off the other 90% of your post and then...bingo!...no big deal....

i havent seen the statue for some time, bummer is some loser stole it.
