I have campused on and off for the last year or so and found it highly effective. It just gives you that explosive power to really crank through hard moves.
I would usually campus 2 sessions a week for up to three weeks before changing to a different type of training. Campus sessions are really intense and you need plenty of time for recovery. I usually take 2 or at least 1 day off in between sessions to make sure I am completely recovered. If you are not completely fresh and able to work at your maximum you are wasting your time. Best to stop when you are still strong.
After warming up I usually just do some laddering, 1,3,5,7,9 to further warm up then maybe some 1,4,6,9's then 1,4,7,9s before doing some lock offs/touches. I just tried some double dynos yesterday as well and am keen to try some more.
I have so far remained injury free from campusing. If you are careful and learn to only campus when you are feeling fully recovered and stop as soon as you begin to tire you should be fine.
A Norwegian friend did 1,5,9 in my garage a little while back. That was pretty impressive.
