Picture this: A leader has reached the belay on a multi-pitch climb after leading on double ropes. Now it is time to bring up the rest of the party comprising two other climbers.

A couple of people I've climbed with over the last year or so seem to like the idea of bringing up two following climbers at once (simultaneously). This seems to work ok as long as both seconding climbers are climbing at the same rate and nobody falls off - but surely it could get real ugly if one of the climbers has an issue of any sort?

I have 'shadowed' my daughter up climbs like this when she was really little, but this was on really low grade climbs where there was minimal chance of falling off.

What are peoples thoughts on doing this?
