Hi I can't find anywhere what the Gri Gri 2 is rated to. Does anybody know or can point me in the right direction?
Thanks

It doesn't have an advertised breaking strength. Would be hard to break without a 100m + rope in a climbing situation.
Some slackline guys have broken a bunch and tested them in all sorts of situations -

Head to the Science section on the same website for more info.

It doesnt have a manufacturer rating but from the test video's ive seen it always either slips the rope first or severes the rope before the GG2 fails.
I used a gri gri 2 regulary in conditions of continuous loading (1-2hours) at 2-3kN without issue on 11mm static rope
Releasing highloads can be hard as the Cam jams the rope very tightly at 2.5-3KN and people usually end up snapping the handle off if they are not careful.

Try joining RopeLab on FB and asking there. Might have more luck.
