Yep definitely! I love reading, especially about climbing, as my over-laden bookshelves will agree. I can't imagine a world without books. I think it would be a sad place. Even if I could afford a laptop or pocket PC I doubt I'd be taking it to the crag like I do with Rock. (I'd also be very embarrassed if this site somehow impacted Rocks ability to stay afloat, though doubt it would even cause a ripple given that I can't pay for content).
Rock is an Aussie climber's icon. Remember when you stumbled across your friends four foot high stash of back issues while the gang was sprawled around the floor sorting gear and exclaiming about the day's ascents? You drooled at the thought of thumbing through them. Everyone pawed to the bottom of the pile, gazed in awe at the pics, started dreaming about "getting on the rock big time", etc, etc. Long Live Rock I say. |
