NPWS Ranger Rachel Miller (responsible for Barrenjoey) was at the works day and we chatted about what to do with access to the crag considering the delicate state its in and the potential erosion & weed problems that visiting climbers will contribute to while it regenerates. She is consulting her colleagues right now regarding access but she thinks it will be OK with keeping it open so long as we keep numbers down and tread carefully. She would like to see some consolidation of a single track up to the crag, so we all don't walk around creating dozens of our own tracks. I have proposed that the next Barrenjoey works day moves its focus from weeds up top, to creating a stable single track up to the crag.
