Stellar mountaineering career and achievements. Scary blog as well. Just shows that the hardest thing about Everest is that it's so damn high. Lots of people can get to 8,000m and maybe a bit higher without O2, but to get all the way to 8,848m make it a whole new challange reserved for the elite. Very surpised that Andrew Lock was unable to do it and good on him for not suffering from "summit fever" and having the awareness to turn around. Certainly still a super mountaineer in every regard and way ahead of most. |
