Yeah Wards Hill has by far the best rock and probably routes on the central coast although it is only a pretty small crag and the best routes start at 24. Umina probably comes in second as it at least has some variety. As was stated earlier there are plenty of good bouldering areas on the central coast although you may have to get someone to show you around as there is no guide.

The routes at Phegans are quite plesant and as was also stated ealier access is definetely not a problem in terms of the short walk and the safe drive. I haven't been back there for a long time now (living in the Blueys now so why bother) to say if the anchors have been fixed, although i would think it safe to assume they have been.

Temperature will not be problem at any crag in the sun or shade unless you are a complete lightweight. It just doesn't get that cold on the coast.
