Highball or solo? |

Many routes on Victorian granite are in the 8-10m range. They were approached by climbers first and either bolted or "soloed". If boulderers got there first they'd probably be "highball" boulder problems instead.
The route in question here was rehearsed on top-rope, climbed with a big pile of pads down below and called a highball. If it was Grit they might have climbed with a rope, hung a skyhook on some unlikely edge part way up and called it a climb. |
