While I see your point in a way (and Duncan's even more), I think he nailed it on the head. If i arrive at 12:50am, and have to get a bus at 6:30am, I'm hardly going to get any benefit from catching a cab into the city, paying a full night rate for probably waking some guy up and hassling him for a key at 1:30am, to then sleep for 4.5 hours and then leave. I'll just stick to sleeping on bench for a bit.
But thanks for your concern about backcountry huts that I have no intention of visiting while i'm there. |
