After climbing at Point Perp on the weekend (a very windy and uplifting experience) we walked down to the torpedo tubes which is also a favourite spot for recreational fishermen due to the ability to catch big deepwater fish from the rock platform. Already biased against fishermen leaving rubbish, my disgust was doubled by the squalor around them. Plastic rubbish/ egg shells/ beer cans everywhere- and they were not about to clean it up when they left.

After whinging about how awful this was and how climbers were not this bad, we walked onto the rock platform 10 m upriver from the Thompsons Point carpark the next day. We were greeted by piles of turds and toilet paper, just sitting on the rock with no attempt to bury anything in the ample bush around there. My 8 and 10 year old nieces were suitably disgusted at peoples laziness.
I'm sure its not Chockstone readers who have been educated on this topic at length before, but it would've been climbers....
