It's been over 20 years since I've read this, so the detail are fuzzy, but the impressions are not. This is an all-time classic. What it captures is the spirit of the climber and it is expressed in concise phrases and sentences that add an element of art not often found in the climbing literature. I made the mistake of loaning my copy out to a friend that decided to keep it when he moved out of town. I would say I wish his nuts would fall off but obviously, he has none. |
