Rope

Rope is understandably a fundamental part of the climbers gear. Choosing the right rope is no simple task. Ropes can be static or dynamic. The former is mostly used in gyms, or for securing a top roped climb, while the later, due to it's elastic nature is used for outdoor climbs, since it's strech provides a cushioning effect to the falling climber.
