I can see that it is hard climbing, but the photo doesn't do it for me.
Subject is a bit far away to see much detail, colours seem a bit washed out (may be real?), and climber may be a little blurred (could easily just be my eyesight!), though not enough to call it a deliberate action shot!!
Of interest although I am not a boulderer, is the obvious line climber intends to follow (assuming the chalked holds are it), as it shows where the climber is going, though not where he has come from.
Good to see you are out and about AS, and it looks as though you have a new mat too...

Have to agree. It looks like he's working a sick compression move; but it's difficult to get a sense of the detail and the effort involved from the photo. |

Like the pic, just a shame the camera focus is on the rock in the foreground at the top of the photo, and not on the climber. Might look better with a tighter crop of the climber (?portrait) to get a better idea of the move he is about to make. Wild route! |

Agreed.. Photo is out of focus..? / Has no defined focal point.. The image doesn't really draw your attention to any one specific point or idea. That said, looks like an interesting (BLOODY HARD) problem. Just unfortunate that more hasn't been done to give the sense of power required to pull those sort of moves |

This may sound harsh, but I reckon the photographer picked up their camera in full auto mode, pointed it in the general direction and pressed the button. It doesn't look like a lot of thought was put into the technical aspects of the photo. Having said all that.. looks like some gnarly climbing on some great rock! |

That's pretty much how I take all my climbing pics, 'Point and Shoot'. Seems appropriate for this problem.
Nice one Andrew |

I agree with all the comments above. But in my defence it was the first day
shooting with a new camera and the first day of DIY photography learning.
:)
Anyway, hopefully they get better over time.

Not an awsome pic. But I give those funky looking shoes near the mats 5 stars! |
