POST EDIT: Skip ahead to Page 5 of this thread to arrive at the Trip Reports, ... (as they get posted).
Ok, maybe a tad early for notification, but earlier is better than too late; so, ... the upcoming Mt Buffalo Aid Climbing Festival 2015 is now open for takers.
Amongst suggestions to me by PM's behind the scene is that it is probably about time that the BAW (Buffalo Aid Weekend), moved on from purely introductory, to cater for intermediate / advanced,.. a North Wallathon if you like, where multiple teams get to do various routes simultaneously, and enjoy camaraderie with potential feedback of sorts?
Such an event could take the form of the previous Canberra blitz where aid aficionados abseiled in, to pick plum pitches off the mega-lines that Buffalo presents, or could take the ground up options ranging from longer routes to shorter routes on said wall, which is very convenient in what it presents in that way.
As a default motivator for such a BAW event I am thinking, ok why not(?), but similarly I don't want to turn away any potential newbies to the lost arts, so I am throwing it out into cyberspace to see what turns up, and lines will be bagsed accordingly...
For past BAW's there have been well experienced luminaries of the lost arts like NealD, Macciza, Phil Box, Damo Milo, Brendan, Fish Boy and phillipivan (need I go on?), who have turned up, passed on knowledge and scoped lines for their future ascents...
The gamut of styles ranges from speed to slow, so pick your partners now and lets daisy doh!
(Ok, I'll bugger off now with the poor alliteration. :-) Heh, heh, heh.)
PS. The posted date for this event is slightly negotiable depending on feedback to this thread...
Please advise of your potential participation, on this thread so as to make co-ordinating it easier.
