Launch of the New Mt Buffalo Guide
The launch will be held at BLVD, 6 Queensbridge Square, Southbank Vic 3006 Phone: +613 9686 6610. It will be on Thursday, 30th March from 7.30pm onwards. There will be lots of Mt Buffalo old timers who would be more than happy to answer questions and talk for ages. See PDF for more details and Word Doc for menu.

The Victorian Climbing Club is proud to announce that the new Mt Buffalo Rock Climbing Guidebook is now available. Kevin Lindorff (Author), Simon Murray (Designer) and Josef Goding (VCC Project Manager) have been working away for the last 2-3 years to make this area easier to find your way around, document the plethora of new routes and ignite an unprecedented new wave of climbers enjoying the delights of this awesome high alpine granite bonanza! Come one, come all to the official launch party. This will be a mighty night of fun, entertainment, socializing and an opportunity to win lots of prizes! Simon Mentz has just been confirmd as the Master of Ceremonies and has promised to "Take the piss" out of all and sundry, so we hope for a very relaxed atmosphere with lots of great food & drinks as well as a chance to meet the "Who's Who" of Mt Buffalo, as well as the creators of the new guidebook - and see how it all came together. Invite your friends, tell a mate, this will be a great way to socialize and also a great way to join the Victorian Climbing Club and learn about the many ways that this fantastic organization works for Victorian Climbers, often very much behind the scenes!

When? 30th March (Thursday) @ 7.30pm doors open, and things will kick off not long after

Venue: BLVD - Southbank (on the south side of the Yarra, right between Crown and the main Southbank complex. It’s just right of the new red stairs/stage feature above the crown car park entry) a nice groovy bar overlooking the Yarra. Food? Sure - come on down before the launch for dinner or order a meal when you enter the room for the launch. Up to you.
