Please tell me where I can buy ($1.50) SS 316 U bolts from. I will order 100 of them today.

Climbinganchors also donates a percentage of all sales to re-bolting funds.

its not what u know it who u know.

i can get steel fairly cheap through work, then make them up myself. cost is a bit less than $1.50 but by the time u notch etc (which is bugger all) it works out.

its very cool that they donate stuff back to climbers. i feel very privelaged that down here in tassie we dont have the crowds wearing out gear as quick as blueys/nowra etc.

Dude thats not $1.50 per bolt!

Add labour plus cost of jig, angle grinding blades etc, etc..

Buying them from Midway metals I can get them for approx $1.20 (including angle grinder wheels) per UberBolt, they take about 3.5 minutes each to wash, grind, notch and bend. No jig needed
They are a right pain.
If you're placing less than 50 I'd buy them instead

I've been fortunate enough to buy two each of five different makes/models of 10-10.5mm dynamic ropes in the last 9 months including two tendon 10.2mm x 60m ropes, one of the tendons is currently what I've been climbing on and I'm really quite pleased with it. It handles nice enough, it seem seems to be wearing well.

My only complaint would be that it seems that the two yellow strands (its primarily red/white with two yellow strands, its name is red october, its sister rope is strawberries and cream which I think is a far better name for a rope, and yes they all have names) are not as tightly woven as all the other strands (which seems really odd) and as such when it does get some abrasion on the yellow strand it tends to 'pick up' the entire strand rather than just abrading the outer fibres giving a little tiny (0.25-0.5mm high) loop which you can feel as a slight bump as it passes through your belay hand.

Would happily buy them again, climbing anchors service was prompt, friendly and efficient.

that 1.50 includes the one off $15 for a jig, i got 10001 cutting wheels for free at home so dont really have to pay for that. and 3mins tops per bolt is not exatly labour intensive.

If you check this link, another U.S forum is discussing viamont nuts.
http://www.cascadeclimbers.com/threadz/showflat.php/Cat/0/Number/426235/Main/425647. Still after confirmation that they aok here in oz, same with fixe biners and slings. It would appear Tendon ropes are aok.

And Mikl Law, how do you get the 4 wheel drive up the rock to bolt?
