I know your set on a van but just in case you can be swayed a good mate of mine just put his camper trailer on the market. 4wd version, 5 years old, all the extra's including fridge, two gas bottles, stainless steel kitchen, 60ltr water tank, extra room (3 x bedrooms) blah blah blah for a neat $10G.

Wow - VW Multivan with AWD seems to start at $60k on Carsales.com. Transporters are cheaper, but much more utilitarian, & mostly 2 seat. The Delica still seems a better match to my needs - but think I'm going to go Pajero 7 seater instead.

We got a 1989 VW Camper called Fritz. We had some fun times...
and also:
Some thoughts:
- A fridge is fan-bloody-tastic! The ability to store fresh meat, beer and icecream (if you get a freezer) is a huge bonus, especially for long trips.
- Did I mention the fridge?

You might find it, or others on Ebay, useful.
