ibuprofen, (not over the counter everywhere I guess) Paracetamol is used here mostly only for cold/flu like symptoms not inflammation... far as I know.

Ed, it depends what time you get up but around 4 is right, wake up 4 strong ones, 4 I/C tabs and wake up 3hrs later painless and a thirst for cordial

My old GP used to prescribe codeine syrup whenever I complained of a cough that kept me up at night. Each 100ml bottle is 5mg/ml. Sure does help you sleep.

ibuprofen for most pain but when I really need it cant beat pethedine
