That was rad! I love the mantra, 'top rope, top rope, TOPROPE!'
I still don't understand why they use ropes on grit. Most of the routes I've seen are run out horror shows that (almost) guarantee a grounder if one were to fall.

Holy sh!t. I think they are mixing up leading with soloing - somebody should probably let them know.

How old is that kid? Looks about 15 - with his parents on belay!

17 when that video was shot. Pete Whitaker is one of the 'Wide Boyz' and said he was 21 in the WideBoyz film.

Talented family the Whittakers. Dad Sam was on the original Hard Grit video soloing 'Piece of Mind' at the Roaches and has at least one E9 first ascent to his name (Appointment with Death at Wimberry.) Pete's sister Katy is pretty good too.
