30 cans in a block x 30 blocks = 900 cans x .375 kg per can (approx) = 337.5 kg

this is impressive on several levels.

Sweet! Thanks for that, Michael. Looks like I did that ascent in 1972. Very cool.

Take no notice. WW&S isn't very good at maths or grammer (a lethal mix).

Existentialist babble is his gig.

Spectacular stuff Brendan.

Sounds like a lot of the Wolgan trips I've done over the years.

I wish I had set up a betting ring on your dreaming, ... I would have cleaned up nicely!
Re 20 posts a day, I think you will find that in my worst (from your perspective, heh, heh, heh), month of posting, the average was 6 a day...
Never mind, get a shot of coffee from simeys cafe and you will be over it, ... & won't need to go begging mods for your pleasure!

Real climbing?
Hmm. It maybe depends upon the definition used.
If the art of ascending improbable lines on rock to gain exposure, engage the mental component by getting stuff to stick cleanly (or get scared?, heh, heh, heh), is part of the definition, then I am sure the group (particularly 'lucky Trogster' and egosan), would attest that their climbing horizons have been broadened.

So... When is the next one? When does Catani get locked up for the winter?

Am not sure, due to having a bit going on in the background at the moment, but if there were a sudden avalanche of interest then the Anzac weekend could be a possibility?

Lake Catani Campground is open from the beginning of November until the end of April. (from PV website).
Although they close the access road in winter the campground actually remains open for 'wilderness camping' (for limited numbers?), throughout all of winter to my knowledge.

I don't normally go looking for cold climbing though, as my modest climbing grades become even more ordinary under those conditions, and next spring would suit me better.

No dramas.

What counts as spring?
