Hi Bridh,
I'm also keen of going out for beginner climbs around Melbourne and do have a small car (and a MTB).
Do you currently practice in a gym?
Would be good to meet, so please get in touch.
Cheers,
Tania

If you dont mind climbing with South Australians Im sure we can arrange something at Araps one wekend. You would have to make your own way to Araps though, bus maybe. PM me if you are interested.

Tania,
I rode my bike down to burnley to the bouldering wall yesterday,
its a great place to practice, all ranges of skill there.
I just take my shoes & it's free, although it gets dark about 5pm
we could meet there and negotiate a gym to climb in possibly?
confirm with me and i could meet you along the way, (leaving ringwood)

excellent so that makes 4.
Think we are gonna be a bit limited on gear - but I'm considering some wallnuts (my limited gear not arrived yet) and was gonna get a rope but we've now got 2 so I reckon that's enough. So going shopping early sat for essential climbing stuff then climbing.
I take it you are coming up from Melbourne? PM Hugh see if you can all come in one car maybe...he's already said he won't give me a lift but I'm sure he'd pick you up if you're in Melbourne!
See you 14/15th x

Hey there,
I am free to head up to the Pines for the 15th and 16th as well. I have a full trad rack
and a rope. I am happy leading up into the 18 - 19 range, but I am not fussy, just
getting out on the rock whatever the grade is gold. The only thing I lack is the car. I am
free to leave Friday arvo and need to be back for Monday morning.
If any of you have space in your car, my rack is at your disposal.
Cheers,
Sol

hey Sol,
I'll give you a lift but I live in the middle of flippin NOWHERE!!! So give Hugh a shout he's sorting out the Melbourne car share. You all gonna be a bit squished though.
If you do happen to be up near me let me know I have use of a rather swish work car and more than happy to give you a lift.. if I don't loose it in target car park again like I did today -difficult to find a car that you can't remember where you parked if you don't know the make or the colour!! (we have a lot of cars.)
I have a favour to ask anyone though -can I borrow stove/cooking stuff as mine not here from UK yet and I went looking at stoves today and they are so expensive to buy when I have a pretty much new one sitting at home. Or are we gonna be doing camp fires? If so I'll bring some wood. x

I've been wondering what this is about for a while but just gone up and read the thread properly and now feel confident that I've not missed anything obvious so I'm gonna say HUH? what you on about?
