Hey all,
Im an expat who will be home (Melbourne) for Christmas / new years and might have a bit of spare time to explore and climb. Since I started climbing after I left aus, I dont know many local climbers and was considering solo trips / finding partners at the crag. By the sounds of it, Mt Arapiles should be doable if I show up at the Pines campgroup with gear / rope / beverage bribes. Is this still true? For the Grampians, is there a similar hub? Or given limited time would you just spend extra time at the arapiles?
Cheers,
James

There's not really a similar hub, but it's totally feasible to do day trips down to the Grampians from Arapiles.

I'd be going to araps, easy to find partners, and then head to the gramps whne you can. UNless you want to do rope soloing etc.
